Summertime

Summer has been crazy hectic, but wonderful. I have been working at the Summer Camp at the school and when it fits B comes along. It is truly enriching, but exhausting! Now I am gearing up for Sports conditioning as we head into the new school year and I have Volleyball and Cheerleading to contend with.

Researching rules, regulations, uniforms and gear has been exciting but stressful since we are such a small budget school and mostly boys all of the sports money goes to their sports first. Time to look into discount/clearance uniform, gear, and equipment and also see what budget I have to work with (or some fundraising ideas).

Current Status

For the first post, figured I would start with a catch-up from our last public post on the previous blog. Since 2013 a lot of changes (both good and bad) have occurred for us. Husby is now with a new company that specializes in Oil & Gas; yes the company he interviewed for while B and I ran errands. He has been there for 2 years and loving it. Promotion and liking his work makes things much better for him...mentally and health-wise. He unfortunately travels often, but we at least have notice, so it works. We are still in the same home and always debating should we make a move to a larger home or a closer home to his job. His commute is now 1.5 hours north of us, but he carpools with his coworker and they can destress and work on the ride back, and he works from home on Fridays and most days he is traveling in the evening so home during the day.

B starts VPK this year due to his birthday and missing the cutoff date by 17 days. He did a year of preschool this past year and it was definitely an experience. He was diagnosed with a speech delay and sadly the school he was with did not work too hard with him and his therapist was not as helpful. New school year; VPK at a facility closer to home.

I took a new job at a non-profit, private K-12 school teaching High School Science this past school year (2014-2015). This coming year I took the role of Volleyball and Cheerleading coach, along with teaching Science. It has been an adjustment, but an amazing experience. I was able to plan and carryout an excellent Prom and Senior Grad Bash. Guessing I will be spearheading those again this year and probably some more fun events. Our family has also joined in to become part of this school family, so that has been a blessing as well.

Healthwise,  I have fluctuated with good and bad days. Side effects of medicine has stopped me from taking it, followed by the various seasonal allergy induced colds and the flu towards the middle of this past school year. Now that I am off birth control (due to its bad side effects), we are also trying for a new addition. Had an illness of pregnancy-like symptoms back in May but then missed in June; so now clean slate and praying for sticky dust this month and a healthy pregnancy in the near future.

Clean Slate

The family blog has been moved to here. All the old posts are still available at the old address and I currently have no plans to move those over to here. From here, I'm starting with a clean slate; new blog with everything in the past just a memory in the old blog.

A literal clean slate.
